![]() We stated all we needed to see was something in writing that this was the policy which should be expected in a government organization. The worker said she would have the park manager phone us. We asked to see where this existed in their written policy prior to our payment as this was not the case in the past years. Nothing on the form mentioned the $50 extra fee. We were presented a form to sign (after the shelter fee had already been paid) that had a liability clause with the word "band" hand written in by the worker. When the band set up this year we were informed by park person that we had to pay an additional $50 for this purpose. We always had a small band who played in the rented space. Rented picnic shelter for a family reunion three years in a row. The campsite, restroom and hiking trails were very clean. The trail wasn’t marked very well, but was not at all crowded so it was nice to be able to get away from the crowds in this era of “social distancing”. ![]() ![]() In the afternoon, we hiked on the Fox Den trail to visit the caves. In the morning, we hiked on the Dripping Springs trail to visit the waterfalls and Ghost Coon Trail to see the Yurts. The state park is located adjacent to a highway, so that contributed to the overall noise levels in our campsite. Our campsite was adjacent to the volleyball court, one of the frisbee golf stations and the Pine Ridge trail so it felt at times that we were camping in a city park. We stayed at site #2 in the Tent camping area, though suggest that if you plan to go tent camping that you select sites: 5~8 as they are located near the tree line which helps to block the wind and offer much greater privacy. ![]() We were getting “stir-crazy” staying at home, so was glad to see that Natural Falls State Park was open this past weekend. ![]()
